"Good to see you" - Max Angus
Baron Art is a gallery in the Norfolk market town of Holt which represents many local artists whose work features the Norfolk landscape and wildlife, such as Nicholas Barnham, Lionel Wilde, Robert Gillmor, Max Angus, Matt underwood and Emily Gillmor.
To complement original works and prints by these artists, we carry a wide range of cards representing their work as well as cards by Brian Lewis and John Wilson.
In addition to art, we specialise in Art Deco ceramics and have a superb collection on display featuring scarce and highly-collectible pieces by Clarice Cliff.
Other ceramicists include Susie Cooper, Charlotte Rhead, Crown Devon and Crown Ducal.
We also have figurines and face masks by Goldscheider, Royal Dux, Wade and Katzhütte.
We carry books related to our featured artists, as well as a good selection of 1940s books.
We are delighted to have a strong representation of local artists in the gallery, with whom we have had a relationship for many years.
Their work is inspired by and depicts the local Norfolk wildlife, countryside and coastline in many changing moods and seasons.
The artworks are predominantly watercolour and linocut, though we also have a good selection of silk screen, oils, lithographs, acrylics and pen & ink.
